2014 NTSO青少年管樂營
鑑於全國學習管樂之青少年學生人數眾多，但各縣市除了音樂班或管樂團之學校設有樂團合奏訓練之外，其餘學習管樂之學生較無機會接受有計畫之正規合奏訓練。為了促使管樂教育往下扎根，向上發展，本年度持續規劃青少年管樂營，使青少年有機會接觸音樂學習環境，體驗與培養寬闊的胸襟及正確的人生觀。
指揮：Leon J. Bly
Leon J. Bly於1944年5月13日出生在美國維吉尼亞州漢普頓市。1966年，他於威廉和瑪麗學院取得文學學士學位，並於美軍軍中任職中尉。從 1966年到1968年，他身為德國斯圖加特第110憲兵排的指揮官。 1968到1971年間，他擔任維吉尼亞州弗雷德里克斯堡詹姆斯門羅高中的樂團指揮。1972年，他獲得邁阿密大學音樂碩士學位，在學期間，他追隨Frederick Fennell教授學習指揮，並於 1977年，被同一所大學授予博士學位。從 1974年到1981年，他為西維吉尼亞州雅典城的肯寇爾德學院的樂團指揮兼音樂教育學院之助理教授。從1975年到1981年，他擔任西維吉尼亞州普林斯頓聖心羅馬天主教堂音樂總監。
從1981年9月至2009年7月期間，他任職德國斯圖加特管樂系系主任與青年管樂團指揮。於1988年9月到1994年11月，他為德國Remseck社區樂團指揮，並在1997年，指揮Leonberg- Eltingen的社區樂隊 “萊拉”。 1991到1997年間，Leon J. Bly為世界管樂協會（WASBE）董事會的成員，並於1997年至2007年擔任該會之執行長。現今，Leon J. Bly為世界管樂協會之主席也身兼管樂研究促進國際學會（IGEB）、美國管樂團指導者協會（CBDNA）與Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia的會員。他同時於Marktoberdorf拜恩州立音樂院教授樂團指揮課程。此外，他於歐洲、北美與南非大量撰寫並教授關於管樂團音樂。 2008年12月，因其對國際音樂教育之貢獻，他於芝加哥榮獲中西部音樂大會所頒贈之中西部國際音樂大獎。
長號獨奏：Lindsey Smith
Lindsey Smith earned his Master of Music Degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he served as Graduate Teaching Assistant, studying under Dr. Robert Gray and Daniel Perantoni. He received his Bachelor of Music Degree from Michigan State University where he studied under Curtis Olson. Mr. Smith served 26 years as a member of the United States Air Force Concert Band as Tenor Trombonist. While there, he also was a member of the Air Force Symphony Orchestra and led the Air Force Brass Quintet. He has performed in every state and around the world. Mr. Smith is an active and accomplished performer, teacher and clinician and has traveled globally in this capacity. He has been a featured soloist with the Air Force and Army Bands as well as several high school and university ensembles. Besides the aforementioned, Mr. Smith has studied extensively with Milt Stevens, Joe Alessi and Raymond Turner.
