Guided by the principles of refinement, memorability, and excitement, the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) aspires to resonate throughout the world as a cultural ambassador of Taiwan.
This time, NSO teams up with internationally renowned conductor Hans Graf and Leonidas Kavakos, a Greek prodigy described by The New York Times as “a violinist’s violinist,” to present two masterpieces — Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's “Violin Concerto in D Major” and Sergei Rachmaninoff's “Symphony No. 3.”
The rich, expressive violin lines and the monumental orchestral accompaniment of the opening violin concerto is characterized by fiery, radiant interplay between the soloist and orchestra. The grandeur and complexity of the closing symphonic gem will also be brought to life by Graf, Kavakos, and NSO sharing a stage. A night of classics by two of the greatest composers — this is a concert not to be missed!
